Very friendly manner and kept very professional. He explained everything fully and in a way that I could understand. I felt that he saw me as a person and not a set of symptoms. He had time for me and I can not find fault in any of the consultation process with him today. He clearly explained to me what was needed to be done and what would happen. He was able to plan the procedures that I had to have done so that one followed on from the other, methodically, ensuring that my time and his was used in the best possible way. This helped to remove the anxiety I had about my illness. I have trust in Dr Hywel Jones.

Excellent bedside manner, fully explaining everything pre - op and providing options. Very patient and accommodating, with a very relaxed manner which gave you confidence in him. One of the better doctors I have met and been treated by.

I first met Dr Jones in August 2013, I was due to have a single mastectomy. I was very nervous about the procedure. From the moment I met Dr. Jones, he was charming, caring and genuine, I was totally put at ease and made to feel comfortable. He was very informative and thorough when explaining the anaesthetic procedure. I am a very nervous patient when it comes to GA, but I was made to feel very safe. I trusted Dr. Jones entirely after my first procedure and on my second meeting with him I knew I was going to be in safe hands again. His team is also wonderful and caring extension of himself, it puts you at ease when you can have a joke and a laugh. Even the after care from Dr. Jones is amazing. He visited me a few times once I was in recovery, and I honestly felt he genuinely cared about me and not just because it was part of his job, this is rare in a Doctor. I have had treatment both NHS (Broomfield) and PVT (Springfield) with Dr Jones and I have received the same level of care and professionalism in each sector from him. I truly think he is a wonderful man and doctor, and any patient receiving care from him is very lucky! He comes highly recommended with my utmost respect, trust and loyalty.

From the first time, I met Dr Jones I was extremely happy with his friendly, put you at ease manner. He has now been my Anaesthetist for 3 operations between September 2013 - April 2014.. After my first operation, I woke up feeling fabulous and No nausea. My second operation was major (for me). I had a Mastectomy with an LD flap reconstruction. I was going to be under for nearly 6 hours. I thought Dr Jones was on holiday. I was prepared to postpone my operation, he was the only person I trusted to keep me alive. Luckily, he was back from holiday, so I didn't need to postpone.. BUT, there would have been NO question of me postponing if he wasn't available. Again, after a 5.30 hr op.. I woke up in HDU feeling really well.. NO nausea and hungry!!! My most recent operation, wasn't major, but again it was booked around Dr Jones availability. It is also very comforting when you hear the theatre team, speaking so highly of him. I belief, I'm back again in August (depending on the availability of Dr Jones) :)
